Dear kids

If you are wondering why did I rush off on Graduation Day and during the BBQ at Anthony’s place, it’s because a very close friend of mine was in ICU and I had to visit him. Unfortunately, he passed away the very night.

This friend of mine was my secondary school classmate whom I had known for 15 years. Despite the fact that we moved on to different schools after we graduated, we remained close buddies in a group of 5. Over the years, each of us had our own pursuits and we slowly met up less often. However, the friendship remained close-knitted. My only regret is that I had spent my recent months mostly on work and had neglected this dear friend of mine.

The takeaway I have for you is that the closest friendship you can forge is during your schooling years; most often than not, your closest friends will be from your secondary school days. As you move on in life, you will realize that your environment and the people around you are more complicated. I think it is unrealistic to expect the whole 5N1 to remain in close terms through the years, but I am sure you could form mini cliques amongst yourselves and maintain this bond throughout your life.

My parting shot to you is that in life, it is not the success that you achieve or the wealth that you accumulate that is most important, but your health, your friends and your family that are priceless.

We have a lesson to learn here. We were too late, unprepared, disunited and uncooperative.

We had the time to, but we procrastinated, we procrastinated.

We could have reached a consensus, but they disregarded, they disregarded.

To be honest, I was looking forward to performing.

There's a bigger challenge ahead, don't make the same mistake, this was an class interest, it's a lesson and it's taught.

The hurdle ahead is on a personal level and determines the path of your future, unless you're awaiting inheritance of great riches.

We can all learn from this.

Lesson aside, I felt that our choices were a tad cliche, even though I myself suggested that some dance 'Nobody - Wonder Girls'.

I feel a performance that would've drawn more awe would be something spectacular yet different from the current hoohas.

Namely, 'Thriller - Michael Jackson'. However his untimely death may have made it once again popular. Something else like Saturday Night Fever, or 'Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley'.

HELLO EVERYBODY.

The performance has been decided like that.
it will be a skit.

Ginger, val, clem, sherren, weiteng and I will learn the dance first then we will go for the audition. If we pass, we will teach you guys. Okay? So.. what we supposed to do?

Note : Several adjustments of plans.

- Almost the whole class will partcipate.
- Around 15 will be dancing.
- Others just sit around and do the props

First, around 15 of you will be acting as students in the class before morning assembly.
Only 3-5 will do the talking, talking about how to perform and stuff like that. Then those talking or so called the main focus for the moment will do a stun and thinking face..

Two groups dancing will freeze when you guys are talking.
First, we will dance nobody. The other grouo will also freeze. After nobody has end, it will be sorry sorry. Lastly, it will be hoedown throwdown.

Then someone will stop the 3 to 5 in their tracks of thinking.

Then, next scene....
everyone dance umbrella by rihanna, holding the umbrella.
The last thing is that we all open our umbrellas, and the umbrellas will be showing happy teacher's day.

End.

Ha, hello, it's been a long time since i like blog here.

Hmmmmm, the main purpose is to like see whether if anyone wants to perform on teacher's day? Several of us have been discussing about it already. Wonder if anyone supports this or something? It will definitely be a once in a lifetime experience. 5 years together, yet we didn't really did anything that was solely worth remembering for a lifetime and laughing at it a few years later. It should be everyone's effort. This is our last year at Zhonghua Sec, i know, yay right? Ha, but i think we should at least do something for our teachers. I think it's kinda cool if all of us performing together. IMAGINE - teacher's applause, memories, laughs, working together. Imagine all of us putting together cool dance moves, that will be so great manz!

Dunno how many people will see this but here it goes... I have got 3 announcements to make!!!

1) For next Monday 29 June, take temperature at home before you come to school, and bring thermometer to school... Got fever don't come!!!

2) The school will be mailing you a H1N1 package. Please get your parent/ guardian to sign on the travel declaration form and pass it to me on Monday. This includes people who did not travel overseas.

3) Your draft testimonials are beyond edit!!! All of you are to make personal appointment with me to do your testimonial. Each person is only entitled 30 minutes. The deadline to key in testimonials is 17 July so please hurry up!!! I know its your prelims but this is YOUR testimonial!
